Southampton Stand Up Comedy Debra Charity Comedy Fundraiser - Thursday 10th July Join us at The Attic for a night of laughter and giving back at the Debra Charity Comedy Fundraiser! Esther Manito - Opening Esther Manito began performing stand-up around 2016 following a six-week writing course at London's Camden Comedy School. She was the first female comedian to perform at Dubai Opera House, a regional finalist in 2017's Funny Women Awards, and was a finalist in the 2019 Arab British Center's Award for Culture. She debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe with her show Crusade in 2019. Her second full length show, #notallmen, won Best Show at Leicester Comedy Festival 2021. She also performed #notallmen at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022. She debuted at Live at the Apollo in December 2021. She has appeared on podcasts including Evil Genius with Russell Kane, and Parenting Hell with Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett. Joe Fortis - Middle A Starting in 2022, the mantra of 'Laugh now, think later' has found Joe supporting Phil Nicol, Esther Manito, Diane Spencer, Tony Law, Nathan Caton, Tom Deacon, Plastic Jeezus amongst others aswell as performing for the Navy, RAF, Army & SBS/SAS on various occasions. With a deadpan delivery that could rival a graveyard's silence, Joe Fortis fearlessly navigates the shadowy realms of comedy, crafting dark and edgy one-liners that leave audiences questioning their own sense of humor. Armed with a razor-sharp wit and a penchant for pushing boundaries, Joe transforms the darkest corners of life into uproarious laughter, proving that sometimes the best punchlines lurk in the shadows. Madeleine Brettingham - Middle B Comedy writing credits include Frankie Boyle's New World Order, Frankie Boyle's Farewell To The Monarchy, Would I Lie To You, Late Night Lycett, Have I Got News For You, That Mitchell and Webb Look, That Mitchell and Webb Sound, The Kumars, Harry Hill's TV Burp, Horrible Histories, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, Michael McIntyre's Big Show and Radio 4's The News Quiz. She was nominated for the Funny Women Awards 2020, placing in the top 3 for the Best Comedy Writer award, and her scripts were runner-up and winning submissions at the British Animation Awards in 2022 & 2024. Most recently she was voted the Bath New Act of the Year award 2025. Plastic Jeezus - Closing Winners of 2022's South Coast Comedian of the Year, 'Best Newcomer' at the Musical Comedy Awards 2021, British Comedian of the Year 2023 semi-finalists and Circuit Breakers at Leicester Comedy Festival 2022, Simon and Aaron are Plastic Jeezus - a deadpan, ukulele-totin, musical comedy duo. Plastic Jeezus have been making waves up and down the country with their hilarious and often surreal original songs, all delivered in their own unique, straight-faced way. The deadpan duo took their show 'Leave Them Wanting Less' to the Edinburgh Fringe for the first time in 2024, where they received glowing reviews, sold out shows and featured in Edinburgh Evening News' Top Ten Jokes of The Fringe.
