Ricky Gervais Dutch Barn Vodka Stand-Up Competition - Hosted by Tom Ward at The Attic Friday 11th July The Attic are hosting Spirit of Comedy with Dutch Barn Vodka to find the UK’s next best stand up comedian. Dutch Barn Vodka Comedy Stand-Up Competition 20 acts have 2 minutes each to prove they are worthy of getting through to the grand final in October in London. Co-owned by Ricky Gervais, Dutch Barn vodka is a premium vodka brand distilled from British apples in Yorkshire – and they’re committed to helping their drinkers have a laugh. A ticket to this event will include one Dutch Barn Vodka drink for free (alternative drinks are not available) Hosted by Tom Ward Tom has accompanied Jack Whitehall, Joe Lycett, Sindhu Vee and Jason Manford on tour, and he presented four solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe. Additionally, you may recognize Tom from appearances on ITV2's The Stand Up Sketch Show, BBC Worldwide's Live from The BBC, and Comedy Central's Roast Battle, Stand up Central, and Live From The Comedy Store. Comedians are you Funny enough for Wembley Arena? We’re on the hunt for Britain’s (second) greatest comedian. The Spirit of Comedy is a new stand-up competition and comedy community, with multiple rounds reaching all corners of the UK. Aiming to unearth new comedy talent and promote them to a global audience, the winner will receive a cash prize of £5,000 and be invited to open for Dutch Barn Vodka co-owner Ricky Gervais at London's OVO Arena Wembley on 15 November 2025. Highlights of the shows will be broadcast on our YouTube channel, with judging to include a combination of audience voting and expert panels.
