George Dalaras is coming to indigo at The O2 on 27 April 2026. George Dalaras is a pioneer of Greek music and a cultural ambassador of international renown. Rembetiko, also known as the "Greek Blues," is a unique and fascinating musical tradition that originated in the vibrant port neighbourhoods and humble working-class districts of Greece in the early 20th century. It is an art form that captures the essence of Greek folk music while celebrating the life stories of people, their dreams, joys, and pains, in lyrical and melodic expressions. In an exceptional program, the renowned artist George Dalaras takes us on a profound journey through the world of Rembetiko. Through his masterful interpretation, a landscape of sound unfolds, blending the nostalgic melancholy of the past with the passionate energy of the present. With his powerful voice and virtuoso mastery of traditional instruments, Dalaras brings to life the authentic nuances and timeless beauty of this musical form.
