With anticipation for their first-ever season reaching fever pitch, Super League Basketball are proud to announce that their debut campaign will conclude at one of the most iconic venues in sports, as the season-ending Play-off Finals will take place at The O2, London. On Sunday May 18 2025, the biggest game in the British basketball calendar promises to be a must-see showdown in the capital between the last two Men’s and two Women’s teams standing to decide who will be crowned Play-off champions. The O2, the world’s most popular live entertainment, leisure, and retail destination, has been a fixture in the British sporting landscape for many years. Renowned for hosting some of the nation's most significant sporting events, The O2 is a fitting backdrop for the pinnacle of British basketball competition. Following the announcement of the Play-off Final date and venue, Super League Basketball Head of Events Clare Holmes said: " We are thrilled to bring the excitement and energy of our Play-off Finals to such an iconic venue as The O2. This event marks a defining moment not just for Super League Basketball but for British basketball overall. Fans can expect a thrilling day of top-tier competition and world-class entertainment, making it an unmissable experience for everyone who loves the game." Gael Caselli, VP of Sport at AEG Europe, commented: “We’re excited to welcome the best players in British basketball back to The O2 for the first-ever Super League Basketball Play-off Finals. British basketball is growing more and more popular each year, and we’re proud to be providing a stage for these epic showdown games. We have no doubt that fans attending will be in for a truly memorable weekend of live sport.” With a capacity of 16,000, supporters will be on the edge of their seats throughout a day of non-stop elite sports and entertainment. The first of the two games for the 2025 showdown will be the Women’s Final, which tips-off at 1.15pm, after which an electrifying half-time show will energise the crowd ahead of the Men’s Final at 4.15pm. While the heart of the event lies in the on-court battles, fans can anticipate an array of entertainment unparalleled to other sporting events on British soil.
